BODMAS

Today we will focus on BODMAS or BIDMAS.
BIDMAS is the order we perform operations in equations. It stands for :

Brackets
Indices i.e. to the power of four , squared
Division ( / means the same as divide)
Multiplication
Addition
Subtraction

Note: Division and multiplication are at the same level. Addition and subtraction are at the same level.

Example:

(13+45)x3/2=?

First, we do what is in the brackets: 13+45=58 so we now have 58x3/2.
Next, because multiplication is at the same level as division, we do it in the order that it is in the equation so 58x3 which is equal to 174. This means now we have 174/2 left to do which is 87.
Answer=87
